My name is Annie Johnson and I make my home in the beautiful and rugged state of Wisconsin and up here we know a thing or two about staying warm!
I have been married to my husband for 15 years and we have 4 beautiful children that keep me busy! I also play the fiddle and if I get some time to myself, if I'm not knitting, I'm probably playing some tunes!
I am blessed to be a homemaker for my family and my husband supports us by continuing on with his family's multi-generational business - Logging and Property Management using horses in the woods.
Connect with me on Facebook and Instagram to keep up on my latest happenings!
I have a passion for knitting and keeping traditions alive. I knit exclusively by hand and I never use a knitting loom or a knitting machine, so you know with 100% certainty that each piece is truly, authentically made by hand. This is what sets Fiddle Ridge Knits apart from many other "handmade" knitting suppliers.
I host a local Knit & Natter group and I hold several classes through out year in an effort to keep this invaluable skill alive and growing!
I learned to knit using traditional Irish and Norwegian techniques which makes for very intricate and unique pieces. I create each piece myself and I use only the finest, high-quality yarns which are most usually imported and hand-dyed. Due to these methods, each piece is one-of-a-kind even if they are knit using the same pattern!
The first step in getting your own piece started is to contact me with your ideas! Need some inspiration? Hit the "SHOP" button and head over to my Etsy shop to see what I already have on offer and maybe spark some ideas for your own custom piece of art!
No matter how specific or vague your ideas might be, I have spent years designing knitted art and I love nothing more than talking patterns, colors and yarn options.
Whether it is a gift for yourself, that super special person deserves something as unique as they are, or even that hard-to-shop-for someone, I can give you that thoughtful and personal piece that will be treasured for years to come!
